SUMMARY:Charity of the Month - Kindness is Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Kindness Is Foundation’s Lil’ Craft Cart\, Since October 2020\, in addition to the Kindness Cart\, we started a monthly craft project called the Lil’ Craft Cart for the kids at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. We have provided various things the kids can paint\, such as pumpkins\, wooden turkeys\, and holiday ornaments. It costs about $400 per month which is a small price to pay for the smiles it helps create\, and when we work together\, we can make a difference in a child’s life. The Spinney at Van Dyke would like tosponsor a month’s craft in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Donations will be accepted until Friday\, September 29th and may be dropped off any time into the Lifestyle mailbox. DESCRIPTION:Kick on your boots and join us for some fun on the farm! Town Senior Services’ very own Program Assistant\, Anna Biggane\, has been riding and taking care of horses at Double V for 13 years. She will give us a tour of the barn where we will see lots of farm animals including horses\, goats\, mini donkeys\, cats\, bunnies\, and more! There will also be interactive and hands-on demos showing you how to take care of a horse! Note: Please wear close-toed shoes! Hosted by Bethlehem Senior Services; reservations are required for all programs. DESCRIPTION:Food from 3 – 4:30 pm\, Concert at 5:30 pm– Get your lawn chairs ready and invite some friends to join you for a night on the lawn by the gazebo for this old time southern string band concert. Greek on the Run will be here from 3 – 4:30 pm. They are only taking pre-orders which can be placed with Erin. Orders must be emailed to Erin by 8/15 at noon. The menu is attached\, and copies are also available at the Clubhouse. You can enjoy your food on the Clubhouse patio\, take it home\, or order and enjoy it with the concert. At 5:30 pm we will enjoy the concert by the gazebo.
