November 2018 Community Newsletter

As you know, Connie Holden, our Activities Coordinator, will be undergoing open heart surgery on November 6th. Please keep her in your thoughts for a successful procedure and speedy recovery.
Also on the 6th – Election Day – vote at the Bethlehem Library on Delaware Avenue.
Club House – private party events are Saturday, November 3rd, Saturday, November 17th and Thursday, November 22nd.

The Toastmasters will be meeting on the evenings of November 14th and November 28th.
Regular activities:

Mondays @ 1 pm – Scrabble
Tuesdays @ 1 pm – Games; 7 pm – Billiards
Wednesdays @ 1 pm – Mah Jongg
Thursdays @ 1 pm – Rummy
Fridays @ 7 – 9 – Poker

The Food Florist will be in our parking lot at 1 pm on November 6th and November 20th . You can pre-order your items at 518 545-0623. If you want pies for Thanksgiving please pre-order either frozen for your baking, or already baked.

Men’s Breakfast – November 9th @ 8:45 am

Book Club – November 12th at 11 am

Library hours will be Tuesday, November 13th from 4 – 5 pm, and on Saturday, November 24th from 11 to noon.

Meditation with Dayle Groudine – November 14th @ 3:30 pm

Birthday Celebration – Friday November 30th at 1 pm.

Save The Date

This years’ Holiday Celebration will be Saturday December 8th from 5 to 8 pm. Due to space limitations in the Club House it will be open to past and current residents only. So the proper amount of food and drink can be ordered from the caterer (Romo’s Pizzeria & Restaurant in Glenmont), it is imperative that you sign up in the Club House by November 16th.

Trim The Tree – Monday, December 3rd @ 10:30 am – bring your tree trimming skills and a brown bag lunch to sit and enjoy the fireplace and the beautifully decorated tree.

The Office will be closed November 22nd through the 25th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will resume normal hours on Monday November 26th. If you have an emergency – such as no heat, running water, or chirping batteries, please call 518 689-0162 and press Option 2.

We hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving with family and friends.
