Spinney Bonus Referral Reminder

Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House
Interested in volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany (located at 139 South Lake Avenue)?  Meals are prepared and served to families of critically ill children who are staying at the facility.  The Spinney would be able to volunteer as a group making breakfast or dinner.  If interested, please let Wendi know at or (518) 512-3298.

Trivia Night for Adults
Thursday, March 2nd, 7PM
Have some fun and show off your knowledge as you sign up alone or as a team to match wits with others.  Form a Spinney team and take on others at the Bethlehem Public Library (451 Delaware Ave)!

Lunch with Neighbors

Dementia Event at The Spinney at Pond View
Thursday, March 16th, 12:30PM
David Troxel will be visiting our sister property, The Spinney at Pond View (2490 Pond View, Castleton-On-Hudson), to educate Spinney residents and their families about the challenges of dementia. Atria, the Capital District’s leading provider of assisted and supportive living, will be providing lunch prepared by one of their chefs!  You’ll also have a chance to tour the new Clubhouse and see what our future space will look like!  If you would like to attend, please sign up in the Model, e-mail vandykeleasing@thespinneygroup.comor call (518) 689-0162, letting us know how many people will be attending.

Qi Gong
Friday, March 17th, 10AM
Learn the gentle art that combines physical movement with breathing and intention to promote health and wellness.  Wear comfortable shoes/clothing. Qi gong is suitable for all abilities. Class will take place at the Bethlehem Public Library (located at 451 Delaware Ave).

Meaningful Retirement Workshop
Tuesday, March 21st, 7 – 8:30PM
Explore the changing definition of retirement and how to make the transition from full-time work to your life’s next chapter with a presentation and panel discussion.  Co-sponsored by Bethlehem Senior Services and Community Caregivers, Inc.  Sign up online at or call (518) 439-9314.  Workshop will take place at the Bethlehem Public Library (451 Delaware Ave).

Pot Luck Supper
Thursday, March 30th, 5-7PM
Please RSVP To Wendi by Monday, March 27th if you will be attending and what item type you will be bringing (beverage, appetizer, entrée or dessert).  Event will take place at the Adams Station Clubhouse (located at 1 Juniper Drive).  Always a fun time had by all!

A.A.R.P’s Income Tax Assistance Program (Appointment Required)
Wednesdays through April 12th, 9AM – 3PM
Bethlehem Senior Services will offer A.A.R.P’s Income Tax Assistance Program on Wednesdays through April 12th by appointment at the Bethlehem Town Hall (445 Delaware Avenue, Delmar).  Appointments may be made by calling 439-4955, extension 1176.  Please bring copies of your 2015 Federal and State returns, your 2016 W-2 and 1099 forms and receipts for contributions, interest, medical bills, property and school tax receipts.
