R.A.D for Seniors
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
May 2nd – 27th, 1:30PM – 3PM
Awareness and defense strategies that can keep you safe at any age.  The Bethlehem Public Library is teaming up with the Office of the Albany County District Attorney to offer a R.A.D self-defense course specially fit for seniors.  The 10-session program instructs participants in physical defense strategies, all with an understanding of the specific concerns that are unique to seniors.  Open to men and women 55 and older.  Must attend all sessions.  Call (518) 439-9314 to sign up.

Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Collection Day
Saturday, May 7th, 8AM – 1PM
Rain or shine!  The Collection Day will take place at the Town Highway Garage located at 74 Elm Avenue, Selkirk.  Town of Bethlehem residents only.  Valid NYS Drivers’ License required as proof of residency. 

I Love My Park Day
Saturday, May 7th, 9AM – 12PM
(Rain date: Saturday, May 14th)
Organized by Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation.  Visit Henry Hudson Park and help clear debris, plant flowers, rake the ball field and playground, clean the pavilion and hibachis, and more.  E-mail Wendi at wgross11@optonline.net or by call (518) 512-3298to join group from The Spinney to help our parks!

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

The Cue Theater in Delmar is performing “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, a perennial favorite for all ages!  Please RSVP to Wendi as soon as possible if you are interested in attending, as group tickets are cheaper than individual tickets.  If 5 or more people are in attendance, the cost of a ticket is $12/person.

Enjoy Bethlehem’s Restaurant Week!

Enjoy Bethlehem’s Restaurant Week deal at Bellini’s (located at 1365 New Scotland Ave, Slingerlands) with your neighbors!  During this week, a 3-course dinner will be only $20.16.  Please RSVP to Wendi by May 4th if you would like to attend.

Community Clean Up Day
Saturday, May 21st, 9AM – 12PM
Community clean up days are opportunities for citizens to help clean our streets and roadways.  The Town of Bethlehem will provide safety vests, rubber gloves, trash bags and pick-up sticks.  Please register for the event by filling out the form located at the following website: http://www.townofbethlehem.org/FormCenter/Clean-Up-Days-5/Clean-Up-Registration-42

Lunch with Neighbors

At residents’ requests, Jack Brennan, Director of the Emergency Management Office for the Town of Bethlehem will be presenting on the resources that the Town of Bethlehem has to offer you as residents!  Please save the date and attend this important meeting.
